Jim Frye Founds Lynxmotion

Lynxmotion was founded In 1995 by Jim Frye (The Robot Guy), due to his fascination with robotics and a frustration with the available robot-based kits. Lynxmotion made a serious commitment to manufacture and distribute high quality educational robot kits. The kits are in use teaching many aspects of robotics all over the world. These are not 'toys", but vehicles for teaching and learning complex robotic principles. They are a lot of fun, though.1995

Hobby Robotic Arms

Whether you are an electronics hobbyist, a robotics enthusiast or a student or teacher, this project is for you. I believe these are the best small scale computer controlled robot kits available. Some of the many features of this arm are; 5 axis (base rotate, shoulder, elbow, wrist and gripper) All axes are closed loop. You tell it where to go, it does. Can be completely battery powered by a 9 volt and a 6 volt lantern battery. Extremely easy to program and control with any serial port. Can utilize a PC, single board computer, PIC or even BASIC Stamp. Very fast, accurate and repeatable movement.
