OVERVIEW
The next generation Lynxmotion Servo Erector Set Professional modular robotic construction system (S.E.S. PRO) is comprised of a series of professional smart actuators and a variety of modular brackets, mechanics and electronics. This system allows professionals to quickly and easily design, build and code complex robots with wheels to multi-degree of freedom robotic arms, legs and more.
ACTUATORS
The Lynxmotion Smart Servos (LSS) PRO actuators are versatile actuators designed to be a significantly more powerful and accurate evolution of the Lynxmotion Smart Servo (LSS) hobby series of actuators for use in semi-professional or professional multi degree-of-freedom robot arms, animatronics, research projects and more. The PRO lineup currently includes three servos, two of which appear physically similar, sharing the same cap and plate, but differing in maximum torque and speed as well as gearbox size and mounting. The third actuator is physically the largest of the three and offers highest torque.
MECHANICS
The PRO actuators make up an integral part of any PRO assemblies. With mounting at the output of the gearbox, as well as to one side of the actuator, assemblies are rigid and minimalist. Create and easily add your own mechanical designs to complete your project.
SOFTWARE & CONTROL
(Coming soon) The PRO actuators include proprietary code (bootloader and firmware) which allows for the human readable communication protocol, motor control, sensor readings and more. Examples are available in a variety of programming languages, and the LSS PRO Config software allows for easy setup and communication with one or more servos. For advanced users, the onboard firmware can be replaced with custom STM Studio or Arduino programming (Arduino example code is availabe).
